Blue was not a criminal; neither was Tre, or Kevin, or Chris, or me.

We were invincible.

Even as he breathed on the crook of my neck, I pulled his tousled hair.

"Chris," I heard myself say. As I removed my sweater and bra strap, he grabbed my arm and trapped it firmly on the wall. Then he replaced one strap over my shoulder.

Finding my gaze, he mumbled, "Not yet."
